Days 7, 8, 9, 10: Life Happens
Life has been happening to me in a really bad way lately. This is the photographic evidence, which does nothing to relay the absolute emotional fc*kedupness of it all. Putting together outfits to bolster my self esteem with is really what is keeping me almost sane.
What I wore to hand in my assignment; includes faux fur stole I picked up at Target, Black dress from random asian store, cardigan with shoulder pads and knee high boots not pictured.
Wore this for a catch up coffee with a friend but replaced these blue ksubi jeans with a random black pair, definitely worked better with the outfit. Sportsgirl top, Tony Bianco clutch bag and bardot boots
Wore this on a random trip out of the house. Bardot boots, Neon Blonde denim leather look skirt, dotti jumper, diva measuring tape heart necklace and tony bianco clutch
Wore this to high tea at the QVB today, unfortunately I didn't take a good photo. New boots from Therapy called 'remix', khaki green dress from H&M in hongkong, lovely country road silk top which i am SO infatuated with atm and orange diana ferrari bag for a bit of colour. Also had on my measuring tape heart necklace from diva.
The orange bag has a bit of a story behind it. My exbf bought it for me as a present and I absolutely hated it at the time, I thought it was horrendous and something I would never carry around. Fast forward 3 years and suddenly I don't mind it so much - it's really soft leather and felt very chic with the ensemble..a nice pop of colour. IDK i sound like a bit of a dick now, but I liked it, it matched so I took it.
I'm having a really rough time right now. Just writing this for documentation's sake. I really hope things start to look up soon.

Day 5 and 6: Make up and Mothers
Wearing: Backstage Dress, random studded belt from Ice, Zu Shoes [which, incidentally, are a replica of some gorgeous Gucci shoes, but I didn't know that when I bought them], Sportsgirl necklace worn as a bracelet and various rings. The theme was fashion week so I tried to do this whole Victoria's Secret thing with my hair. I really suck with hair.
Wearing: Zara jacket, Oxford Circus playsuit and Aldo studded heels. Very, very, very hungover.
Pics from a friend's 21st birthday last night and mother's day breakfast this morning.
The boyfriend and I are back together - it lasted all of one day, he took the Monday off work, came to see me and we had breakfast. Plying me with food is always effective. Will not happen again. Breaking up to make up is not as sexy as being rock steady, knaw mean?
Took my mum out for high tea as breakfast this morning, nursing a raging hangover and possibly still drunk when I woke up. We went to T2, as I had the genius idea of high tea on Thursday and by the time I got around to trying to make a booking, every place was booked out. My first thought was Eurolounge, but I've seen pics of their high tea and it didn't look as great as the one I'd previously had at T2, so I wasn't too disappointed. And Eurolounge is $30 per person, but you get the same amount of food you'd get at T2, so it makes more economic sense to my frugal Indian side anyway. ahah.
Regardless, it was lovely and my mum quite enjoyed it. We frolicked around the shops for a while after, and my mum being the Indian she is decided she wanted to check out some random dress she saw on sale at Target. I wanted to buy her a nice dress as a present, but (and I don't mean to be rude here) I could think of nicer stores than Target. Miraculously, I picked up a faux fur scarf which does NOT look too faux - it's ridiculously cute and warm and I'm looking forward to wearing it with something asap! Funny that I find the one accessory I've been tentatively contemplating recently in a place I rarely ever go and in a very affordable price range! Time to stop being such a 'label snob' (haha not really, the only labelled item of note I own is a pair of old Chanel sunnies which I never wear, preferring my $30 Sportsgirl aviators instead - go figure).
until next outfit x

Day 4: The Breakup
So my relationship of one year and 3 months ended today. I needed to get out of the house so my best friend and I went to see Scary Movie 4. Interesting movie, it makes a nice comment on our fame hungry culture towards the end. And here I am blogging about my life like someone out there really gives a damn.
Wore overpriced Sportsgirl top with shoulder detail, black supre skirt, random tights I found in my wardrobe, otk boots frm Mexico
Accessories: stupid diva dogtags which say love and hope. Suffice to say I keep them turned the other way. They make me feel super hardcore gangster.
Makeup note: I decided to go with a hawt betch pout, so I wore my YSL Rouge Volupte number 14 with Revlon lipgloss in 170 over the top.

Day Three: Casual Coffee
I'm starting to think it was really bad timing for me to start a blog based on 'fashion,' when lately I've been a little uninspired and lacking opportunities to actually dress up and go out. I've spent about 4 days doing absolutely nothing but uni work and haven't left my house. My bf's family has been in town for his Gran's 90th birthday so he's been really busy attending to their needs (read: chauffeuring, cleaning and entertaining), so I've been pretty lonely. To top it off, my two closest girl friends are overseas right now, taking advantage of this unprecedented long weekend. It seems that turning into a hermit is inevitable in such circumstances.
Have you ever felt like there was absolutely no one you could call to go catch a movie with?
Luckily though, my bf and I caught up for a quick coffee last night and so I drudged through my wardrobe to pick out something suitable.
I came up with this Dotti sweater, navy blue supre skirt and sportsgirl tights. Worn with black flats. Not very exciting.
I'm hoping that when uni starts again next week I'll have more of a chance to live up to my lofty promises of 'fierce fashion'. Or maybe that's just deluded.
Until next time x

not really Day Three.
So believe it or not I've had a pretty miserable Easter break - I've barely left the house except to go to the gym. So no outfits to post. I almost went out yesterday but, tragically, it didn't work out. Such is life.
Anyway I went to an engagement party on Saturday night and this is what I wore.

Day Two: In honour of Zara
So I can't attend the grand opening today, having blown a lot of money on shopping in the past few weeks and ALSO having resolved to shop my own wardrobe for a while. It saddens me greatly, but probably shouldn't feel like I'm missing out too much as I did a major Zara haul whilst in Mexico in January. I'm hoping a lot of the stock will be the same, but I know that they're creating a range especially for Australia.
One of the best purchases I've made all year is this Zara blazer; I love it. It's a classic cut and has gorgeous blue and white stripped lining.
Wearing: Zara Blazer, Bonds Singlet, 'Loving Things' pleather shorts from Tattoo in Top Ryde [I've been looking for leather-look shorts which aren't high waisted, and I finally found these in the most random store], Sportsgirl knee high stockings and black wedges.
Accessories: Diva necklace, C&M mens necklace from Mexico, Diva Studs
